Chocolate Cherry Almond Smoothie Bowl



Chocolate for breakfast? And it still checks the box of healthy eating? YES! Not only that, but you can make this healthy breakfast in no time, even if you've hit the snooze button a few too many times this morning.


A balanced breakfast is a good way to support healthy eating habits, but smoothies can be a good start if you are not eating breakfast at all. While you shouldn't rely on them for consistent meal replacements, they can be a great plan B. They can also be a way to practice the principle of "just a bit better" if you purchase smoothies from a shop. Making it yourself puts the control in your hands for using quality ingredients and is a great way to save some cash.


If you can manage it, I would recommend a smoothie bowl. Bowls tend to feel more filling than drinking your smoothie. For more on the science, see this.
